Shabbir Ali distributes Indiramma housing orders to 106 beneficiaries in Kamareddy

Hyderabad: Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir distributed Indiramma housing proceedings to 106 beneficiaries in Kamareddy on Thursday. He also inaugurated a paddy procurement centre at Machareddy as part of his constituency visit.

At the Kamareddy municipal office, Shabbir Ali said the State government prioritised permanent homes for poor and middle-class families. He said the scheme aimed to help eligible families fulfil their dream of owning a house.

“An Indiramma house is not merely a structure; it represents dignity for a poor family. The Congress government is committed to helping families realise their dream of owning a home,” he said.

Congratulating the 106 beneficiaries, Shabbir Ali asked them to use the government assistance and complete construction at the earliest. He stressed compliance with prescribed guidelines and directed officials to provide support. He also asked them to ensure construction quality.

Shabbir Ali said the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, was implementing several welfare programmes. These include free bus travel for women, LPG cylinders at Rs. 500 and free electricity up to 200 units and also cited the farm loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa and Indiramma housing.

He said the government was also investing in education, healthcare, roads, drinking water, drainage and urban infrastructure and also said, special attention was being given to roads, sanitation, educational institutions and sports facilities. He added that constituency requirements would be taken up with the Chief Minister to secure funds and speed up development works.

Shabbir Ali said welfare schemes must reach eligible people transparently. He identified housing, farmer support, women’s economic empowerment, youth employment and better educational facilities as key priorities.

Municipal Chairperson Ippa Srinivas Uma Rani, Vice-Chairperson Kasarla Godavari, town Congress president Aireni Sandeep, councillors, officials and public representatives attended the programme. Beneficiaries and others were also present.

Paddy procurement centre opened at Machareddy

Later, Shabbir Ali inaugurated a paddy procurement centre established by the Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Limited at Machareddy mandal headquarters. He directed officials and procurement staff to ensure farmers received the prescribed price without facing difficulties.

He asked officials to provide essential facilities at the centre and maintain transparency at every stage. These included weighing, quality assessment, procurement and payments. He also advised farmers to sell their produce through government centres rather than depend on middlemen.

Shabbir Ali said farmer welfare remained an important focus of the State government, also added that measures were being taken to support agriculture and fulfil commitments made to farmers.

Machareddy Society chairman and mandal Congress president Nausilal, sarpanch Santosh, District Library chairman Maddi Chandrakanth Reddy and Kamareddy Society chairman Gudem Srinivas attended. Market Committee director Ganesh Naik, cooperative society representatives, agriculture officials and farmers were also present.

During the visit, Shabbir Ali met three bereaved families and conveyed his condolences. First he visited the family of Congress leader Chitti Mella Vishnu, whose mother had recently died under circumstances described as suspicious, urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation and act against anyone found responsible.

He later visited the family of Nawab, owner of Classic Function Hall on the Kamareddy-Sircilla road. Nawab had died following illness. Shabbir Ali also met the family of former municipal councillor Ram Mohan after the death of his mother.

Shabbir Ali said standing with people during difficult times was a responsibility of public representatives. He expressed his sympathies to all three bereaved families.
