KTR claimed that builders and real estate developers in Hyderabad were paying Rs 200 per square foot as RR tax. He raised the issue in a post on X and questioned whether the BJP’s national leadership knew about the alleged collections.

He asked whether developers were paying Rs 200 for every square foot of property. KTR also questioned why Modi and Amit Shah had not acted despite accusing Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi of corruption.

RR tax collections: KTR seeks action from BJP leadership

KTR pointed out that Modi and Amit Shah had frequently visited Hyderabad. During these visits, they accused Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi of collecting money under the name of RR tax.

However, KTR questioned why the Centre had not taken responsibility for investigating the allegations. He demanded action to stop the alleged collections.

He also criticised BJP leaders for making allegations during their Hyderabad visits without following them up with concrete action. According to KTR, their criticism remained limited to public statements.

Furthermore, he alleged that the BJP had taken no corresponding steps on the ground. KTR claimed that an understanding between the BJP and Congress prevented action against the alleged RR tax collections.

He accused the BJP of using the issue for political criticism without taking steps to curb the alleged practice.
