Hijab incident protest Hyderabad highlights women’s rights
Hyderabad DCC president Syed Khalid Saifullah said the protest reflected a collective stand for dignity, justice and constitutional values. He said silence was unacceptable when a woman was humiliated by someone holding public office.
He warned that normalising such behaviour would encourage abuse of power. Stressing that democratic resistance was a constitutional right, Khalid said Hyderabad would continue to stand for women’s dignity and justice.
