Pariksha Pe Charcha crosses 4 crore registrations, sets new record

New Delhi: Pariksha Pe Charcha crossed 4 crore registrations for its 2026 edition, surpassing last year’s Guinness World Record, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said on Friday.

Earlier, the programme had set a global record with 3.56 crore registrations. However, the Minister said the latest figures already exceeded that milestone. As a result, the initiative achieved a new historic high even before the event.

Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said the interaction, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has grown beyond an annual dialogue. Instead, it has evolved into a nationwide movement focused on reducing exam stress among students.

Meanwhile, he urged students, known as Exam Warriors, to take part actively in the 2026 edition. He said the session helps students handle pressure as examinations approach.

According to the Ministry of Education, registrations crossed the 4 crore mark as of January 8, 2026. Students, parents, and teachers participated in large numbers across the country.

At the same time, the Ministry said the strong response reflected the programme’s growing relevance. It continues to promote confidence, focus, and emotional well-being among learners.

Programme draws record participation nationwide

The initiative has increasingly connected students, parents, and teachers across regions. Therefore, officials described it as a Jan Andolan rooted in collective participation.

Online registrations for the 2026 edition opened on December 1, 2025. The MyGov portal hosted the process. In addition, the Department of School Education and Literacy organised the programme under the Ministry of Education.

The platform allows direct interaction between the Prime Minister and participants. Through this exchange, students discuss exams, learning habits, and mental health.

As examinations draw closer, the Ministry encouraged more students to register. It said participants could benefit from guidance on confidence, focus, and well-being. Ultimately, officials said the initiative strengthens dialogue on education and holistic development.
