Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed Congress preparedness and issued directions to Ministers on Monday, hours after campaigning ended for the Telangana municipal elections.
After completing election tours in eight districts, Revanth Reddy convened an urgent Zoom meeting with Ministers earlier in the day. During the interaction, he assessed the political situation across 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations. He sought detailed feedback on grassroots strength, voter sentiment, and the strategies adopted by opposition parties.
The Chief Minister instructed Ministers to remain alert even after the campaign period closed. He asked them to closely monitor local developments until polling concluded. He also directed them to resolve internal dissent promptly and prevent any rebel activity that could affect outcomes.
Congress strategy and coordination for Telangana municipal elections
Revanth Reddy reviewed the role played by Ministers during the campaign and assessed how effectively government guarantees and welfare schemes were communicated to voters. He stressed the need for close coordination with party workers at all levels to ensure consistency in messaging.
The Chief Minister stated that the aim was to secure victories in the maximum number of municipalities. He said the elections would serve as a clear measure of the Congress government’s performance. He also offered suggestions to strengthen coordination and boost morale, while emphasising discipline, unity, and sustained voter engagement during the final phase.
