TGSRTC special buses for Maha Shivaratri to serve key temples

Hyderabad: TGSRTC will operate 2,243 special buses to facilitate devotees travelling to major Shaiva temples across Telangana for Maha Shivaratri.

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation announced that the special services will run from February 14 to 16. The move aims to handle the surge in passenger traffic during the festival period.

Under the plan, TGSRTC will deploy 781 buses to Srisailam and 416 to Vemulawada. It will also run 249 buses to Edupayala, 326 to Keesaragutta and 71 to Kaleshwaram. In addition, the corporation will operate services to Komuravelli, Alampur, Umamaheshwaram, Palakurthi and Ramappa.

TGSRTC special buses to run with revised fares on select routes

Officials clarified that only TGSRTC special buses will carry revised fares. The ticket prices on these services may go up to 1.5 times the normal rate. However, regular buses will continue to charge standard fares.

The state government’s free bus travel scheme for women will remain valid on all services, including the special operations. Therefore, eligible women passengers can travel without paying fares as per the scheme norms.
