NSIC Schedule A CPSE status strengthens MSME support
The Schedule A recognition enhances the corporation’s managerial, operational and financial powers. As a result, NSIC is expected to expand and accelerate its support initiatives for MSMEs nationwide.
NSIC assists enterprises throughout their business lifecycle. It provides skilling and capacity-building programmes to improve competitiveness. In addition, it offers marketing support, credit facilitation and growth capital through equity investments. These interventions help MSMEs scale operations and access new markets.
Moreover, NSIC serves as an implementation partner for several flagship and aspirational programmes of the Government of India. Therefore, the Schedule A elevation reflects the government’s confidence in the organisation’s performance and governance standards.
The corporation also received an “Excellent” rating from the Department of Public Enterprises for 2024–25. This recognition highlights the sustained efforts of the NSIC team and its contribution to MSME growth.
Overall, the NSIC Schedule A CPSE upgrade is expected to further empower the organisation to drive innovation, employment generation and inclusive industrial development across India.
