Hyderabad: The JCHSL 2026 diary was launched by Revenue and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Friday at his chambers in Hyderabad. The publication marks a significant milestone for the Journalists’ Co-operative Housing Society Limited (JCHSL), which has been functioning for more than six decades.
Society President Brahmandabheri Goparaju informed the Minister that the organisation, established in 1960, had never released an official diary before. Therefore, this initiative represents a historic first in the society’s journey. He explained that the diary compiles updated member details, chronicles the evolution of its housing colonies, and includes useful reference information related to the media fraternity.
A step toward institutional documentation
The launch event highlighted the importance of preserving institutional memory. Over the years, JCHSL has played a vital role in providing housing support to journalists in Hyderabad. However, much of its history remained undocumented in a consolidated format. This publication seeks to bridge that gap.
According to the organisers, the diary is not merely a record book. Instead, it is designed as a resource tool for members. It aims to improve coordination, enhance communication, and strengthen the internal network of the society. In addition, it serves as a ready reference for administrative and organisational matters.
The Minister congratulated the society for taking this initiative. He noted that documentation strengthens transparency and accountability in cooperative institutions. Moreover, he appreciated the effort to bring members together through structured information sharing.
Members of the Managing Committee felicitated the Minister during the programme. Secretary Mikkilineni Ravindra Babu, Vice President Masade Lakshminarayana, Joint Secretary Challa Bhagyalakshmi, Treasurer Bheemagani Maheshwar Goud, and Directors D. Kamalakaracharya and M.S.H. Hashmi were present.
With the release of the JCHSL 2026 diary, the society has taken a meaningful step toward preserving its legacy while strengthening member engagement for the future.
