PM inaugurates Rs 2,700 crore projects in Puducherry

Puducherry: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for Puducherry development projects worth over Rs 2,700 crore during his visit to the Union Territory.

In a series of posts on X, he shared glimpses of his address. He said the projects would enhance ease of living and accelerate economic growth. He also expressed delight at being among the people of Puducherry.

The Prime Minister said the NDA government launched several initiatives for public welfare. Moreover, he asserted that Puducherry witnessed record development in the past five years. He linked this progress to the vision of building “BEST Puducherry”.

Puducherry development projects prioritise youth and healthcare growth

The Prime Minister said the government is empowering the youth through focused schemes. In addition, he stated that the administration plans to develop Puducherry as a hub for medical tourism and holistic healthcare.

He criticised the Congress and accused it of treating Puducherry as an “ATM” for a single family in Delhi. Therefore, he claimed that the people would reject Congress and its allies.

Officials said the projects cover multiple sectors, including infrastructure and public services. Consequently, they expect these initiatives to strengthen regional growth and expand economic opportunities.
