Authorities scrapped 22 outbound international flights from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. Likewise, airlines withdrew 22 inbound services scheduled to land in Hyderabad.

Air India, IndiGo, Emirates and Qatar Airways announced the cancellations in view of the prevailing security situation. Consequently, passenger movement at the airport declined sharply.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation advised travellers to reconsider trips to Middle East countries. It also urged passengers to verify flight status on airline websites before heading to the airport.

With multiple routes suspended, travellers awaited further updates from carriers. Officials said they will review operations based on developments in West Asia.
