Hyderabad: A bus crash on NH-65 near Dandu Malkapuram in Choutuppal mandal left six passengers with minor injuries on Tuesday, police said.
According to Choutuppal police, a private travel bus was travelling from Nidaddavolu in Andhra Pradesh towards Hyderabad. It rammed a container lorry from behind while the lorry was moving ahead on the highway.
The impact severely damaged the front portion of the bus. Moreover, the cabin area was crushed in the collision. As a result, six passengers inside sustained minor injuries in the bus crash on NH-65.
Police shift injured after highway accident near Choutuppal
Soon after receiving information, police rushed to the accident spot. They shifted the injured passengers to the Choutuppal Government Hospital for treatment. Doctors provided first aid to all six victims.
Meanwhile, police registered a case in connection with the incident. They began examining the circumstances that led to the collision. Furthermore, officers said they were verifying whether overspeeding or driver negligence caused the accident.
Authorities stated that traffic movement resumed after officials cleared the damaged vehicles from the highway.
