Sravan Dasoju criticises Revanth Reddy over Rahul Gandhi PM remarks

Hyderabad:Sravan Dasoju, a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC, launched sharp Sravan Dasoju Revanth Reddy criticism on Thursday, accusing the Chief Minister of political arrogance over remarks projecting Rahul Gandhi as a Prime Ministerial candidate.

In a statement, Dasoju criticised Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for suggesting that Rahul Gandhi should become the country’s Prime Minister.

He described the remarks as political hubris and alleged that the Chief Minister was trying to portray himself as a kingmaker in national politics.

According to Dasoju, the controversy reflected what he called an attempt by the Chief Minister to promote his own political image.

He said projecting influence over the selection of the Prime Minister appeared unrealistic and undermined the seriousness of national politics.

Dasoju also alleged that such statements reflected arrogance and political overconfidence.

The BRS leader referred to the political journey of Rahul Gandhi while responding to the Chief Minister’s remarks.

He said Gandhi’s leadership had evolved through years of public engagement and political activity across the country.

Dasoju cited the Bharat Jodo Yatra as an example of Gandhi’s outreach efforts.

According to him, such a political journey did not require validation from regional leaders seeking publicity.

The BRS leader also accused the Chief Minister of attempting to create a misleading political narrative.

Dasoju alleged that the remarks suggested Rahul Gandhi was reluctant to assume leadership, a portrayal he described as politically motivated.

He urged the Congress leadership to take note of such statements.

Dasoju warned that repeated political theatrics could damage the national stature of the Indian National Congress.
