DMK-Congress alliance confident of Tamil Nadu win, says Uttam

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the DMK-Congress alliance remained confident of retaining power in Tamil Nadu after a high-level review meeting held on Saturday.

He attended the meeting as AICC senior observer for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. The Congress leadership assigned him this role to oversee election strategy. During the review, senior leaders and constituency-level observers assessed campaign progress and preparedness.

Discussions focused on coordination, organisational strength and constituency execution. Leaders also examined ways to improve the Congress campaign across segments. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the DMK-Congress alliance stayed united and electorally strong.

DMK-Congress alliance reviews campaign strategy and readiness

He said the DMK-Congress alliance would secure victory in the April 23 election. He also expressed confidence that the Congress would improve its seat tally. As part of the alliance, the party is contesting 28 seats in Tamil Nadu.

Senior AICC observer Mukul Wasnik attended the meeting along with Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K. Selvaperunthagai. Other senior leaders also joined the discussions. The review formed part of wider preparations as campaigning entered a crucial phase.

Uttam Kumar Reddy is also serving as a star campaigner for the state. In this role, he is supervising campaign strategy and coordinating with AICC observers. Through the meeting, the leadership assessed ground-level readiness and refined outreach plans ahead of polling.
