Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad to showcase auction blocks

Hyderabad: The Union Ministry of Mines will host the Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad on Monday to present new auction blocks and exploration opportunities.

The event will take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Gachibowli. Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy will attend the programme. Senior officials, state representatives, industry stakeholders, and prospective bidders are expected to participate.

The roadshow will showcase the 7th tranche of auctions. It will feature 19 critical and strategic mineral blocks, including tungsten, lithium, tin, and rock phosphate. These minerals are essential for clean energy, advanced technologies, and fertiliser production.

Earlier, the ministry completed six auction tranches and successfully allocated 46 blocks. Therefore, the government continues efforts to strengthen mineral security and reduce import dependence.

Event to present exploration licences

The Critical minerals roadshow Hyderabad will also highlight the second tranche of exploration licence blocks. This initiative aims to increase private sector participation in mineral exploration, especially for deep-seated and critical resources.

Moreover, the exploration licence system provides a structured framework for reconnaissance and prospecting. As a result, it supports early-stage mineral discovery and encourages investment.

During the event, officials will present details on mineral potential and auction frameworks. They will also explain recent policy reforms. In addition, organisers will conduct interactive sessions to address stakeholder queries.

The initiative aligns with the government’s vision of building a self-reliant mineral sector. It supports the clean energy transition and promotes domestic resource development.
