Bihar: DRDO announced it will host a DRDO exhibition showcasing advanced defence technologies and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives in Motihari, Bihar from April 15 to 18. The event will be inaugurated by MP Radha Mohan Singh at Mahatma Gandhi Prekshagrih.
Officials said the event would display a wide range of advanced defence systems and models. These include missile systems such as Akash, BrahMos, Prithvi, and Pralay, along with Airborne Early Warning and Control systems and anti-satellite technology.
Moreover, the exhibition will feature artillery systems like ATAGS and Pinaka rocket systems. It will also display armoured platforms such as Arjun tanks and the Indian Light Tank. These systems highlight India’s growing defence manufacturing capabilities.
The event will also include radar technologies, drone detection systems, and protective equipment. In addition, chemical and biological defence systems, including detection and monitoring tools, will be demonstrated.
DRDO exhibition to inspire youth and innovation
Officials said the programme aimed to inspire youth and create awareness about indigenous defence technologies. It will offer visitors a close view of systems that strengthen national security.
Furthermore, the exhibition will present innovations such as the Kaveri engine prototype and advanced materials technologies. These developments reflect ongoing efforts to boost self-reliance in defence production.
The theme of the event focuses on peace, truth, and science while promoting a secure and self-reliant India. Organisers said the exhibition would highlight progress in research and development across defence sectors.
DRDO said the event would provide a platform for public engagement. It added that it would showcase India’s advancements in defence technology and innovation.
