Telangana BJP celebrates alliance victory after five-state poll results

Hyderabad: The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday celebrated the BJP alliance victory after results in five-state elections, citing gains in Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry.

Party leaders and workers gathered at the BJP State Office under the leadership of State President N. Ramchander Rao. They distributed sweets, burst crackers and raised slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Several senior leaders, including K. Laxman and Aleti Maheshwar Reddy, attended the programme. The celebrations created a festive atmosphere at the party office.

Earlier, Ramchander Rao welcomed medical professionals who joined the party under its Doctors’ Cell. He said their induction strengthened the party’s outreach among professionals.

BJP alliance victory draws political reactions

Addressing the media, Ramchander Rao said minority members from Kukatpally joining the party reflected declining misinformation. He asserted that the BJP worked for all communities under the principle of inclusive development.

He criticised leaders of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, alleging that they created barriers to retain political influence. However, he said recent poll results showed growing support for the BJP among women voters.

He added that the BJP alliance victory indicated rejection of opposition politics at the national level. Therefore, he expressed confidence that voters in Telangana would respond similarly in future elections.

Ramchander Rao also urged people to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting on May 10 at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds. He said the visit would mark Modi’s first trip to Hyderabad after starting his third term.
