Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday launched Yadagirigutta temple development works worth ₹99.55 crore at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.
The projects aim to improve infrastructure and provide better facilities for devotees visiting the temple. During the programme, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones for several construction works planned on and around the temple hill.
Revanth Reddy initiated the construction of a Veda Pathashala project estimated at ₹43.80 crore. He also launched works for the Lord’s Nitya Kalyana Mandapam atop the hill at a cost of ₹9.87 crore.
In addition, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for a roof covering project over the stairway from Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop. Officials estimated the project cost at ₹1.41 crore.
The government also started construction of steps leading towards the Mada Veedhis near the Rathashala. Authorities sanctioned ₹1.35 crore for the project.
Yadagirigutta temple development to improve pilgrim facilities
Officials said the development programme focused on expanding facilities for pilgrims and strengthening temple infrastructure. As part of the initiative, the government launched dormitory halls and accommodation facilities for devotees undertaking Deeksha.
Authorities estimated the cost of the dormitory and accommodation project at ₹43.12 crore. Officials stated that the facilities would help manage the increasing number of devotees visiting the temple during festivals and special occasions.
Several ministers, public representatives and senior officials attended the programme at Yadagirigutta. The event was attended by Gutta Sukender Reddy, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha and Adluri Laxman Kumar.
Members of Parliament Vemula Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy also participated in the event along with MLAs, MLCs and temple officials.
The State government said the Yadagirigutta temple development programme formed part of broader efforts to strengthen religious tourism and improve pilgrim amenities across Telangana.
