Revanth Reddy meeting covers Telangana political developments

Hyderabad: Revanth Reddy meeting with AICC general secretary K.C. Venugopal in Delhi focused on Telangana’s political developments and Congress party affairs.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Venugopal at his residence on Tuesday. The leaders held detailed discussions on developments in Telangana and matters related to the Congress organisation.

Revanth Reddy briefed Venugopal on the state government’s development and welfare programmes. He also discussed party activities and organisational matters in Telangana.

The leaders reviewed the filing of nominated posts during their discussions. They also examined measures to strengthen the Congress organisation and prepare it for future political strategy.

Recent issues involving senior Congress leaders also came up during the meeting. Party sources said the Konda Surekha episode and the matter involving Planning Board Vice-Chairman Chinna Reddy were discussed.

The developments involving Minister Konda Surekha and her daughter Sushmitha have triggered controversy in Telangana. The TPCC disciplinary committee later submitted a report to the Congress high command.

Revanth Reddy reportedly briefed Venugopal on the committee’s report and the developments that followed. The leaders also discussed issues involving senior Congress leader Chinna Reddy.
