AYUSHEXCIL and Zepto to sign MoU to promote authentic AYUSH products online

New Delhi: The Ministry of AYUSH said AYUSHEXCIL and Zepto will sign an MoU on January 28 in New Delhi to promote authentic AYUSH products through verified online platforms.

Union Minister of AYUSH Prataprao Jadhav will preside over the signing ceremony, the ministry said. Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha will also attend the event. AYUSHEXCIL Chairman Anurag Sharma and Zepto Co-founder Kaivalya Vohra will sign the agreement.

According to the ministry, the AYUSHEXCIL Zepto MoU aims to create a structured digital framework for expanding access to quality-assured AYUSH medicines and wellness products. The partnership seeks to strengthen digital visibility, consumer trust and market reach for the AYUSH sector.

Officials said the collaboration would integrate traditional Indian healthcare systems with modern quick commerce platforms. As a result, consumers will gain easier access to verified products while manufacturers benefit from wider digital exposure.

AYUSHEXCIL Zepto MoU outlines digital storefront and quality standards

Under the MoU, Zepto will host a dedicated AYUSH storefront to enable easy access to verified products. In addition, the partnership will promote compliance with the AYUSH Quality Mark to ensure certified standards and authenticity.

AYUSHEXCIL will identify eligible AYUSH manufacturers, with a focus on MSMEs, for digital onboarding. The two sides will also run joint consumer awareness initiatives to promote responsible use of AYUSH products.

The agreement includes plans to develop credible educational content on AYUSH systems. AYUSHEXCIL will validate the content before hosting it on Zepto’s platform.

The ministry said the initiative would help AYUSH entrepreneurs tap into India’s expanding digital marketplace. It added that the AYUSHEXCIL Zepto MoU aligned with the government’s Digital India, Ease of Doing Business and Make in India priorities, while supporting the vision of positioning AYUSH as a global wellness system.
