Hyderabad: BRS MLC Sravan Dasoju alleged that bogus voting took place during the recent by-election in the Jubilee Hills constituency and accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of enabling the malpractice. He said the incident reflected serious concerns about electoral integrity and demanded accountability from the state government. He posted his remarks on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He said the bypoll witnessed irregularities linked directly to the Chief Minister’s office. He described the incident as a clear case of vote theft and said it weakened public trust in democratic processes. He added that the episode raised questions about the conduct of those responsible for supervising the election.
Sravan targets Congress leadership over bogus voting allegations
Sravan criticised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and questioned his recent comments on electoral fraud in Bihar. He said Gandhi had no moral position to speak on vote tampering elsewhere while his own party allegedly engaged in bogus voting in Telangana. He said such actions contradicted the claims of transparency made by the Congress leadership.
He demanded that Gandhi respond to the allegations and ensure accountability within the party. He said the Congress must address issues in its own stronghold before commenting on electoral conduct in other states. He called the incident an insult to honest voters and said those responsible must be held answerable.
