Car stuck on tracks at closed railway gate in Peddapalli district

Hyderabad: A car got stuck on railway tracks in Peddapalli district on Friday evening. This happened after a railway gate closed unexpectedly, prompting swift action from railway staff to prevent a mishap.

The incident occurred near Koonaram railway gate. A car was travelling from Hanmanthunipet to Peddapalli. It moved forward after crossing the first gate, which was open. However, the second gate dropped suddenly while the vehicle was still on the tracks. This forced it to stop just inches from danger.

Train halted at Peddapalli to avoid collision

According to eyewitnesses, railway staff quickly attempted to unlock the gate but were unable to open it in time. They immediately alerted senior railway officials, who stopped an approaching train at Peddapalli station as a precaution.
