Congress fulfilling promises, restoring welfare in Telangana: Vivek Venkatswamy

Hyderabad: Labour and Employment Minister Dr. G Vivek Venkatswamy said the Congress government is quickly fulfilling its promises and restoring public trust in Telangana. He was speaking at the Praja Palana Vijayotsawalu event held in Adilabad on Thursday.

He stated that people rejected ten years of BRS rule marked by “arrogance, corruption, and broken promises.” According to him, voters chose Congress to bring transparent, people-focused governance. “Unlike BRS, which never acted on its commitments, the Congress government began delivering from day one,” he said.

Dr. Vivek accused the BRS of running a mafia-style government. He pointed to unfulfilled promises such as one job per family, unemployment benefits, and a housing scheme riddled with corruption.

The Minister listed key welfare schemes already in progress. These include 200 units of free electricity, free bus travel for women, ₹500 gas cylinders, and Indiramma houses. He said Indiramma Housing has now become a flagship initiative rolled out across all districts.

Moreover, he said the government is reviving the education system. Integrated schools are being set up in each district, and vacant staff positions are being filled. Thousands of youth have already secured jobs, and new recruitment notifications will be issued soon.

Dr. Vivek also outlined the government’s economic vision. By 2047, Telangana aims to become a $3 trillion economy. To attract investment, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy represented the state at Davos and invited global industries.

To boost employment, the government launched Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs). These centres will train two lakh youth in high-demand tech skills. “This will prepare Telangana’s youth for future jobs,” he added.

He said these timely steps have built strong public support. “The Jubilee Hills by-election result clearly reflects people’s trust,” he said. He urged voters to support Congress-backed candidates in the upcoming local body polls to continue development and welfare schemes.
