Hyderabad: CPI district committee members submitted a memorandum to Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Thursday, seeking immediate action on multiple Bonakal civic issues.
Party leaders Bezawada Ravibabu and Yangala Anandarao urged the government to establish a new bus stand at the existing agricultural market yard opposite the Saibaba temple in Bonakal. They said the site lay strategically between Khammam and Jaggayyapeta and would serve cross-border commuters.
They also proposed shifting the agricultural market yard to another location. According to the CPI leaders, the move would improve traffic flow and public convenience in the mandal.
The memorandum further sought construction of a cement concrete road to the cremation ground in Motamarri village. In addition, the leaders requested the establishment of a cattle market in Bonakal to support local farmers.
Bonakal civic issues include roads, housing and public facilities
The CPI leaders asked the government to lay a road connecting Brahmanapalli and Rapalle, stating that it would ease transport for farmers. They also sought land allotments for journalists and sanction of Indiramma housing for eligible families.
Other demands included installation of streetlights on the road-over-bridge at the Bonakal mandal centre. The memorandum also called for approval of a new building for the Palle Dawakhana at Mushtikunta.
CPI district committee member Jakkula Ramarao, mandal assistant secretary Burri Nageshwar Rao, Akkena Pavan, and leaders from Motamarri and Kalakota signed the representation.
