Hyderabad: Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender on Thursday said he was ready to resign from his post if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy instructed him to do so. His remarks came during the foundation laying ceremony for drainage and road works worth ₹1.40 crore in Himayatnagar and Narayanaguda.
Speaking to the media, Nagender clarified that there had been no formal discussion about his resignation yet. “The proposal to resign has not come up so far. If Revanth Reddy directs me, I am ready to step down as MLA,” he stated.
He also responded to the ongoing disqualification proceedings against him, which are currently being heard in the Supreme Court. “I will present my arguments before the court,” he said, reaffirming his confidence in the legal process.
Nagender, who has contested 11 elections so far, said that electoral battles were nothing new to him. “Fighting and winning elections is in my blood,” he added.
