Dasara rush hit as Musi floods submerge MGBS bus station in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Dasara festival rush was disrupted after the MGBS bus station was submerged by Musi River floods. Hundreds of passengers were caught inside the terminal before being rescued with ropes.

RTC diverted buses, sending Nalgonda and Khammam services to LB Nagar, Warangal buses to Uppal, and Mahbubnagar and Kurnool services to Aramghar.

Meanwhile, Moosarambagh and Chaderghat bridges were inundated, leading to traffic jams stretching kilometers. Buses and private vehicles stood stranded near MGBS as access roads were shut.

GHMC and disaster teams shifted residents from flood-prone colonies. Officials urged passengers not to head to MGBS until the floodwater recedes.
