Hyderabad: Labour and Mining Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy approved ₹25 lakh for the construction of a Gouda community building in Chennur Municipality, handing over sanction letters to association leaders on Wednesday.
The minister held a meeting with leaders of various caste associations at Chennur Municipality. As part of the programme, he conducted a special interaction with representatives of Gouda community associations. During the meeting, he stressed that development was possible only through unity among people. He added that the Congress government was pursuing welfare and development by involving all sections of society.
He later took part in the ongoing municipal election campaign activities in Ward No. 16. Addressing party workers and residents, Vivek Venkatswamy appealed to voters to ensure a strong victory for Congress-backed candidates in the upcoming municipal elections. He assured that once the party came to power, Chennur Municipality would be developed into a model town.
Gouda community building linked to Chennur election campaign
The minister continued campaigning across the Chennur Assembly constituency along with ward councillor aspirants. During these interactions, he expressed confidence that the Congress party would register a decisive win in the constituency.
Leaders of the Gouda community welcomed the sanction for the Gouda community building. They said the proposed structure would serve as a common facility for social and organisational activities in the area. The meeting and campaign formed part of the Congress party’s outreach efforts ahead of the municipal polls.
