New Delhi: The government said the West Asia situation is being closely monitored, with fuel supplies stable, maritime operations normal and assistance extended to Indian nationals in the region.

Senior officials from key ministries briefed the media at the National Media Centre on Wednesday. They shared updates on energy availability, shipping operations and support measures amid evolving developments.

According to the Petroleum Ministry, all refineries are operating at high capacity with adequate crude stocks. As a result, petrol and diesel supplies remain sufficient to meet domestic demand.

Officials said domestic LPG production increased by about 40%. However, they urged citizens to avoid panic buying as no shortages were reported at retail outlets.

The government also said priority sectors continue to receive protected gas supplies. In addition, supply to industrial and commercial users is being regulated to maintain balance.
