High Court Zone-II foundation laid by Chief Justice in Telangana

Hyderabad: Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant laid the foundation for the High Court Zone-II complex in Telangana at Rajendranagar, marking the start of a major judicial infrastructure project.

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy attended the ceremony along with several Supreme Court judges. Among them were Justice P S Narasimha, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, Justice S V Bhatti, and Justice Alok Aradhe. The event signalled the beginning of construction activity for the new complex.

Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court, also attended the programme. He was joined by Justice P Sam Koshy and other judges. In addition, former Chief Justice of India Justice N V Ramana and former Supreme Court judge Justice Subhash Reddy were present.

High Court Zone-II project forms part of Judicial City plan

Officials conducted a bhoomi puja for the High Court Zone-II complex as part of the ceremony. The project forms a key component of the proposed 100-acre Judicial City in the region. Moreover, authorities showcased models of the planned buildings during the event.

They explained the design and features of the upcoming complex to attendees. At the same time, senior officials outlined how the project would support judicial functions. Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP B Shivadhar Reddy also attended the programme.

Authorities said the High Court Zone-II complex will strengthen judicial infrastructure in Telangana. Furthermore, they added that the project will improve access to legal services and support future expansion of the judiciary.
