Hyderabad: The Dasara festival rush created a massive Hyderabad Vijayawada highway traffic jam on Saturday, leaving vehicles stranded for kilometers. Thousands of residents heading to their hometowns filled the highway, triggering delays at Hayathnagar and other busy points.
RTC buses, private cars, and other vehicles were trapped in extended queues. Heavy rain across the region added to the pressure, slowing down traffic further. In Abdullapurmet mandal’s Gourelli, floodwaters gushed over a bridge, halting movement. Police set up barricades and alerted locals to avoid the area.
