New Delhi: The India AI Impact Summit 2026 recorded over 35,000 registrations ahead of its February 16–20 event in New Delhi, marking one of the largest global gatherings focused on responsible and inclusive Artificial Intelligence.
According to the official announcement, the Summit was expected to attract participation from over 100 countries. As a result, governments, industry leaders, researchers and civil society organisations prepared to engage in shaping outcome-oriented AI frameworks.
The event was projected to host 15 to 20 Heads of Government, along with more than 50 Ministers from various countries. In addition, over 40 CEOs from leading global and Indian companies were expected to attend.
Furthermore, around 500 prominent figures from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers and Chief Technology Officers, were slated to participate. The organisers said the Summit would prioritise translating shared AI principles into practical execution.
India AI Impact Summit to host 500 sessions and global startup showcase
Highlighting the scale of engagement, the India AI Impact Summit planned a showcase of more than 500 AI startups. Alongside this, the Summit scheduled around 500 sessions across its main programme.
In the run-up to the event, organisers received over 1,300 proposals for pre-Summit activities. Consequently, more than 500 pre-Summit events were conducted across India and internationally.
The Summit framework also included seven flagship events. Together, these engagements involved over 3,00,000 participants, reflecting broad national and global interest in the process.
The organisers noted that the global AI summit process evolved steadily over recent years. It initially focused on AI risks at Bletchley Park, then expanded to ethics and inclusion in Seoul, before moving towards operational implementation in Paris.
Against this backdrop, the India AI Impact Summit underscored India’s growing role in shaping global AI governance and cooperation.
Meanwhile, media registration for the Summit remained open. Only accredited media representatives would be permitted to cover the proceedings, with applications closing on February 8, 2026.
