India Post invites entries for official mascot design contest

New Delhi: The Department of Posts has launched the India Post mascot design contest on the Innovate India MyGov platform. The nationwide competition invites citizens to create the official mascot of India Post.

The contest aims to develop a brand ambassador that reflects the organisation’s values of trust, reliability, inclusivity, service and digital innovation. It is open to all Indian citizens. Participants must submit one original mascot design, a suitable name and a brief concept note through the MyGov platform.

The competition opened on July 15 and will accept entries until August 15, 2026. Meanwhile, the Department of Posts has announced total prize money of ₹2 lakh to encourage wider participation.

India Post mascot to represent the department nationwide

The department will award ₹75,000, ₹50,000 and ₹25,000 for the top three mascot designs. In addition, it will present ₹25,000, ₹15,000 and ₹10,000 for the top three mascot names. The design and naming categories are separate. Moreover, all winners will receive certificates.

The winning India Post mascot will become the department’s official brand ambassador. It will appear in promotional campaigns, philatelic products, public awareness programmes, exhibitions, social media platforms and other official communication.
