Hyderabad: IndiGo Airlines cancelled 112 flights at Hyderabad’s Shamshabad airport on Monday, as the airline’s ongoing crisis entered its seventh consecutive day. Airline and airport sources confirmed the cancellations.
Of the total, 58 flights bound for Hyderabad and 54 outbound services were called off, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. The impact was widespread across the domestic sector, with affected routes including Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
Airport authorities advised passengers to check flight status before arriving at the airport, citing continued disruptions. Delhi Airport issued a travel advisory warning that IndiGo services may experience further delays through the day.
IndiGo flight crisis disrupts operations in Visakhapatnam, Delhi
In addition to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam airport also faced disruptions, with 7 IndiGo flights cancelled. These included flights to and from key metros such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Delhi.
Delhi Airport remained one of the worst-hit, with 134 IndiGo Airlines flights cancelled so far—59 inbound and 75 outbound. Ahmedabad also saw 18 cancellations. The extended disruptions have led to mounting concerns over airline reliability and passenger convenience across the country.
