INTUC calendar launch calls for united fight to protect labour rights

Hyderabad: Leaders of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) jointly launched the organisation’s calendar and called for a united struggle to protect labour rights and job security.

Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shobhan Reddy and Telangana United Trade Union Congress (TTUC) state president Mothe Shobhan Reddy unveiled the calendar at the Deputy Mayor’s camp office. During the event, they said the INTUC calendar launch reflected the union’s continued commitment to workers’ welfare and employment protection.

They urged both the Centre and the state government to implement policies that favour the working class. Moreover, they stressed that labour rights could be safeguarded only through sustained collective action. According to the speakers, unity among trade unions remained the foundation for broader social development.

They also said organised strength alone could help workers secure justice. Therefore, they appealed to various labour groups to move forward together on issues affecting workers across sectors.

Leaders highlight INTUC calendar launch as symbol of labour unity

INTUC state general secretary Adala Shivakumar, advocate C. Satyanarayana, academician J. Ramaraju, and Hyderabad district employees’ TNGOs president Varkala Satyanarayana attended the programme. Health department representatives M. Jayender, D. Sridhar, M. Srisailam Sagar, and A. Surender were also present.

Speakers said labour issues required a collective and consistent approach. They added that INTUC would intensify its movements in the future to address workers’ problems more effectively. The leaders reiterated that the message of the INTUC calendar launch was unity, resilience, and continued struggle for labour rights.
