Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha set a Kavitha deadline of September 18 for the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
She demanded action on pending concerns raised by government employees and teachers. She also warned of agitation if the government failed to address their grievances.
Kavitha made the demand at a TRS conference in Baghamlingampally. She accused the government of ignoring the concerns of employees and teachers.
She said government employees were not “slaves” of the Chief Minister. Kavitha also alleged that employees had faced threats instead of receiving solutions to their problems.
The TRS president recalled the separate Telangana movement. She highlighted the role of teachers during the statehood struggle.
Kavitha said employees remained committed to maintaining an efficient and transparent administration. Therefore, she urged the government to recognise their contribution and resolve their pending concerns.
She also alleged that the Congress government had failed to implement its welfare schemes effectively. In addition, she accused the government of neglecting public education in Telangana.
Kavitha said Telangana had more than five lakh permanent government employees. She also said the state had over five lakh outsourcing employees and around two lakh retired employees.
Kavitha deadline sets course for employee agitation
Kavitha deadline also included a call for employees to prepare for a blockade of Hyderabad. Kavitha said employees should take action if Revanth Reddy failed to respond by September 18.
She assured employee unions of full support from the Telangana Rakshana Sena. She also asked employees and teachers to join the proposed agitation if their demands remained unresolved.
Kavitha said the TRS party would treat government employees as partners in development if voted to power. She promised that the party would work to restore their dignity and welfare.
She also reiterated the Telangana Rakshana Sena’s commitment to providing free education and healthcare in the state.
Kavitha maintained that the government had until September 18 to respond to the demands. Otherwise, she said employees and teachers would intensify their agitation with her party’s support.
