Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi on Tuesday, accusing both parties of looting Telangana for decades.
Addressing the media at the BJP State headquarters, Kishan Reddy said the Congress and BRS were no different from each other. Therefore, he said, neither party had the moral authority to criticise the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He alleged that both parties had damaged Telangana in every possible way. According to him, one political family looted the State earlier, while another family now fought over the same wealth.
Moreover, Kishan Reddy claimed that ministers were openly quarrelling among themselves for shares. He said such public disputes exposed the true nature of governance in the State.
He asserted that only the BJP could safeguard Telangana’s future. Hence, he urged people to give the party an opportunity to form the government.
Kishan Reddy attack highlights Singareni dues, criticises Communists
Turning to Singareni Collieries Company Limited, Kishan Reddy said the coal major required urgent administrative reforms. At the same time, he clarified that the Central government had no direct authority over the company.
He stated that the State government owed nearly ₹51,000 crore to Singareni. As a result, he alleged that both Congress and BRS had caused long-term damage to the organisation.
Referring to the previous regime, Kishan Reddy accused former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of running Singareni like a “private limited company.” Consequently, he said, uncertainty now loomed over the future of Singareni employees.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister dismissed claims by Communist parties that they would unseat Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He questioned how such assertions were possible with only one Member of Parliament.
Finally, Kishan Reddy said the Communists should focus on saving their own party before making statements about national leadership.
