Kishan Reddy letter targets Congress, appeals to Kerala voters

Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy issued a Kishan Reddy letter to voters in Kerala, urging support for the BJP-led NDA while criticising the Congress government in Telangana.

In the communication, he accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of making misleading claims during his Kerala visit. Therefore, he said the statements did not reflect ground realities.

He alleged that the Congress failed to deliver on key promises made to voters. He said the party came to power with “six guarantees” and “420 promises” targeting women, youth and underprivileged sections.

However, he claimed that several commitments remained unfulfilled. These include financial support to farmers, loan waivers and minimum support price increases.

He also pointed to the pending ₹2,500 monthly assistance under the Mahalaxmi scheme. In addition, he said promises of two lakh jobs and a job calendar were not implemented.

Governance concerns raised over Telangana performance

Further, Kishan Reddy alleged that Telangana’s financial position had worsened. He said rising debt levels had increased pressure on governance.

As a result, he described the state as a cautionary example for Kerala voters. He urged them to assess governance records before making electoral choices.

He maintained that the Congress had not met public expectations despite its promises. Meanwhile, he projected the NDA as a more reliable alternative.

He said leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensures development and stability. Therefore, he appealed to voters in Kerala to support the alliance in upcoming elections.

The outreach forms part of a broader political campaign strategy. Through the Kishan Reddy letter, he sought to influence voter opinion beyond Telangana.
