Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao provided ₹5 lakh financial assistance to the Damodar family aid after the death of senior video journalist Damodar.
Acting on KTR’s instructions, Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao visited the residence of the deceased journalist. He handed over the cheque to the family members.
Damodar suffered a heart attack on December 5 at Jeedimetla in Hyderabad. He was shifted to hospital for treatment soon after the incident.
Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi visited the hospital and enquired about his health condition. They also requested doctors to provide the best possible treatment.
Among those who visited were MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao and KP Vivekanand Goud along with MLC Shambhipur Raju.
KTR fulfils promise with Damodar family aid
However, Damodar later died in hospital despite treatment.
Soon after learning about his death, KTR visited the residence of the journalist and consoled the bereaved family.
During the visit, he assured the family that he would stand by them during the difficult time.
Fulfilling that assurance, the BRS leader later extended ₹5 lakh as Damodar family aid.
MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao delivered the financial assistance to the family on behalf of KTR.
He also assured the family that the party would continue to support them in the future.
