New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited has set a target to clean more than 10 lakh square feet under Special Campaign 6.0. The drive will cover MCL offices, colonies and other establishments during the campaign period.
The target marks a rise from the previous campaign, which covered 6.12 lakh square feet of identified areas. MCL said the expanded effort would support cleaner, organised and efficient workplaces.
The Government of India will conduct Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2026. The campaign will focus on Swachhata, workplace management, space optimisation and reducing pending work.
It will also strengthen the collection, segregation and disposal of waste, including electronic waste. MCL has made scientific e-waste management the key focus of this year’s campaign.
Officials will identify obsolete electronic items across MCL offices and establishments. They will segregate and dispose of the discarded equipment systematically under applicable guidelines.
The campaign will also help MCL improve responsible waste management practices. At the same time, the company will work to create cleaner, safer and more organised workspaces.

The initiative will allow offices to use available space more effectively. It will also support better workplace organisation across MCL establishments.
Through Special Campaign 6.0, MCL aims to strengthen a culture of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. The company also plans to improve efficient workplace management across its offices and establishments.
