Hyderabad: Former minister and MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav launched the Musi project protest led by BRSV, warning that the government’s approach could harm residents living along the river.
He flagged off the campaign at Telangana Bhavan. Soon after, around 50 student wing teams began outreach programmes across Musi Riverbank areas. The teams will continue their visits until April 14.
They will meet local residents and explain concerns linked to the Musi project. At the same time, they will present the party’s objections to the government’s handling of the plan.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the party did not oppose the Musi beautification initiative. However, he cautioned against any action that could lead to destruction in the name of development. He added that people living near the river were already facing fear and uncertainty.

Meanwhile, he accused the government of acting arbitrarily and misusing its authority. He said the Musi project protest would take the issue directly to the public through sustained field engagement.
In addition, BRSV teams will explain what he described as the government’s “exploitative plans.” He said the party aimed to build public support against such measures.
Talasani Srinivas Yadav further warned that the agitation would intensify if the government failed to respond. He added that the party was ready to mobilise large numbers of people if required.
Moreover, he said BRSV would resist any government action that threatens affected communities. The Musi project protest, he said, would continue until authorities addressed the concerns raised by residents and the party.
