Nitin Nabin accuses Telangana Congress government of betraying weaker sections

Hyderabad: BJP National President Nitin Nabin accused the Telangana Congress government of failing to deliver justice to weaker sections and slashing funds meant for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes welfare.

Addressing the Vijay Sankalp Sammelan in Mahbubnagar on Wednesday, Nabin said the Telangana Congress government had not honoured its key election promises. He claimed that farmers, women, youth and agricultural labourers had all suffered due to policy failures.

According to him, the promise of providing ₹2,500 monthly assistance to women remained unfulfilled. He described the delay as a betrayal of trust and questioned the government’s commitment to women’s welfare.

At the same time, Nabin alleged that corruption continued under the present regime. He accused the government of running what he called “commission raj and goonda raj” across the state.

Telangana Congress government under fire over temples and governance

Turning to law and order, Nabin alleged that the Telangana Congress government failed to act against attacks on Hindu temples. He also accused it of collecting illegal “RR tax” while ignoring public grievances.

Moreover, he criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for remarks that he claimed hurt the sentiments of followers of Sanatana Dharma. He warned that the BJP would not tolerate actions that undermined religious faith.

Meanwhile, Nabin highlighted development initiatives undertaken by the Centre for Telangana. He said the state received three high-speed corridors, a Turmeric Board, a Textile Park and an industrial corridor under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

This marked Nabin’s first visit to Telangana after assuming charge as BJP National President. During the visit, he also reviewed the party’s preparations for the upcoming municipal polls.
