Nizamabad bank fire destroys equipment and key documents

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at the Telangana Grameena Regional Bank in Subhash Nagar, Nizamabad. The incident occurred late on Wednesday night. Thick smoke first emerged from inside the bank. Flames soon followed. Local residents alerted the police and fire services without delay. Teams rushed to the spot as conditions worsened.

City CI Srinivas Raju and Three Town SI Haribabu reached the building with their staff. Fire personnel also arrived quickly. However, the flames were intense. No one could enter the premises. The blaze spread through interior sections. It damaged furniture and equipment. Crews attempted several approaches to stop the fire.

Police review losses in the Nizamabad bank fire

The Nizamabad bank fire took nearly two hours to extinguish. Officials said 25 computers and seven air conditioners were destroyed. They also confirmed the loss of important documents. Police attempted to retrieve papers during the operation. However, the heat and smoke made it impossible.

After the fire was brought under control, officials entered the building. They conducted a detailed inspection. They found that most items were reduced to ash. Bank staff assisted police during the review. The loss assessment began immediately.

Bank manager Varanasi Ranjith filed a complaint. Based on that report, police registered a case. SI Haribabu said the investigation is underway. Officers are examining the possibility of an electrical short circuit. They are also checking other potential causes. Further clarity will emerge after technical evaluation.
