Hyderabad: Telangana Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy directed officials to ensure effective Praja Palana implementation so that the undivided Medak district secures the first place in the state under the government’s 99-day Action Plan.
The minister issued the direction during a review meeting held at the Integrated Collectorate Office in Medak on Friday. He said authorities must implement the programmes comprehensively across the region.
The review covered Medak, Sangareddy and Siddipet districts. Medak MP M. Raghunandan Rao, Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar and Medak MLA Mynampally Rohith attended the meeting. Collectors of the three districts, officials from various departments and public representatives also joined the discussion.
Vivek Venkatswamy said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched the 99-day Action Plan to make government machinery more proactive and improve public services across the state.
Officials discussed around ten key development and welfare issues during the meeting. Department representatives briefed the minister on progress made so far.
Praja Palana implementation review covers development works
The minister directed officials to focus on effective implementation of major schemes. These include the Indiramma Housing Scheme, drinking water supply and improvement of educational infrastructure.
He also asked authorities to promote solar lighting initiatives in the region. Public representatives were urged to speed up works related to ATC construction, establishment of substations and tourism development projects.
Vivek Venkatswamy said work on sports stadia in the district will begin soon. He instructed officials to monitor the projects closely.
The minister also asked authorities to accelerate de-silting works in the Singur Project. He said the works are necessary to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply.
As summer approaches, officials must also identify alternative water sources for the region. This will help meet drinking water needs during the dry season.
He further directed officials to speed up development programmes under the AMRUT scheme. Authorities should also ensure that the state receives adequate central government funding for these initiatives.
The minister said the Congress government is working to fulfil promises made to the people. He added that the 99-day Action Plan will help resolve public issues faster and strengthen the functioning of the government machinery.
