Repatriation of 60 Indians from Bahrain draws thanks from Telugu families

Hyderabad: Telugu families thanked the Union government for the repatriation of 60 Indians who had been stranded in Bahrain. They said swift diplomatic coordination ensured the safe return of the citizens.

Family members appreciated the efforts of Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu and Rajnath Singh for facilitating the operation. According to them, authorities acted quickly to organise travel arrangements.

They also thanked the Government of Telangana for providing assistance during the process. Families said the Chief Minister extended support to arrange a special flight from Dammam to Kochi for the stranded group.

Several individuals, including Goneh Solomon Raj, Joseph Kishore, Deevan Kumar, Mohana, Prem Sagar, Fenney and Benjamin, expressed gratitude to both governments for the timely intervention.

Diplomatic coordination enables repatriation of 60 Indians

Officials said diplomatic coordination by the Government of India enabled the repatriation of 60 Indians. Authorities also secured transit visas from Saudi Arabia to facilitate safe travel.

Families acknowledged the support of the Bahrain Telugu Association and Gulf Air during the process.

In addition, members of the Telugu community in Bahrain assisted the stranded individuals. From February 28 to March 10, local families and churches provided daily meals for all 60 people.

Community members arranged breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the period. As a result, the stranded citizens received support until their travel arrangements were finalised.

The families said the solidarity shown by the Telugu community played a crucial role in helping the individuals cope with the situation. They also thanked print and electronic media organisations for highlighting the issue.
