Revanth Reddy attacks KCR over Palamuru projects, land acquisition

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy mounted a sharp political offensive against former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, accusing him of abandoning Palamuru irrigation projects during his decade in power.

Addressing a public meeting in Mahabubnagar on Friday, Revanth Reddy challenged KCR to name even one project sanctioned for the undivided district. He said the previous government released ₹23,000 crore to contractors but failed to complete works or compensate affected farmers.

Revanth Reddy alleged that KCR ignored land acquisition issues in Udandapur and neglected farmer interests. He said the former chief minister never prioritised Palamuru despite repeated demands.

The Chief Minister also accused the opposition leader of deliberately avoiding Assembly debates on the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. He said KCR skipped discussions instead of defending his record.

CM Revanth Reddy attack escalates rhetoric against BRS leadership

Continuing the Revanth Reddy attack, the Chief Minister accused KCR of obstructing ongoing projects through political proxies. He alleged that attempts were made to block the Chanaka–Korata pumphouse and the Sadarmat barrage after his government initiated work.

CM Revanth Reddy said his political rivals misunderstood his resolve. He asserted that he knew how to respond strategically and politically. He said outdated political tactics no longer worked in Telangana.

The Chief Minister said he defeated those he considered enemies in successive elections. He stated that voters rejected the BRS in the 2023 Assembly polls and again in subsequent contests. He added that electoral victories reflected public trust, not political vendetta.

Reiterating the Revanth Reddy attack, he said his government would continue development despite resistance. He said the Congress would seek votes in villages that benefited from welfare schemes. He dared rivals to campaign in areas where promises remained unfulfilled.
