Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy extended support to a Tank Bund rescuer, Shiva, by providing financial aid and livelihood assistance in recognition of his lifesaving efforts.
The Chief Minister sanctioned ₹5 lakh as immediate financial assistance. In addition, officials handed over a Home Guard appointment letter to Shiva’s son, Venumadhav, offering the family a stable source of income.
Support extended to Tank Bund rescuer
Shiva is known for rescuing several people who accidentally fell into Hussain Sagar near Tank Bund. Despite his repeated acts of bravery, he struggled to meet his family’s financial needs.
Therefore, the Chief Minister intervened and directed officials to provide necessary assistance. Subsequently, authorities initiated multiple support measures and arranged a meeting with Shiva’s family.
Housing and livelihood assistance announced
During the interaction, Shiva requested the construction of a swimming pool near Tank Bund to help him sustain his livelihood. In response, the Chief Minister instructed officials to examine the feasibility of the proposal.
Moreover, he approved the sanction of a double-bedroom house for the family. This decision aims to provide long-term security and stability.
