Hyderabad: Advisor to the Telangana government Mohammed Ali Shabbir Ali attended a medical students’ farewell programme in Kamareddy and urged graduates to prioritise service in their careers.
He took part in the “Kalotsav 26 College Day” event at Kalabharati in Kamareddy town on Wednesday. During the programme, organisers felicitated MBBS graduates and presented them with mementoes.
At the event, Shabbir Ali congratulated the students and described the day as a major milestone. He said their achievement brought pride to their families, teachers and the district.
According to him, patients often look to doctors with hope in moments of distress. Therefore, he stressed that the graduates were entering a noble profession built on service, not just employment.
He also advised young doctors to remain accessible to poor patients. In addition, he said that compassionate care and reassuring words could save lives.

Meanwhile, Shabbir Ali said students trained in Kamareddy had the potential to reach global standards. He urged them to bring recognition to the district at national and international levels.
Referring to Dr Nageswara Rao, who earned global recognition after practising locally, he asked students to draw inspiration from such journeys. Moreover, he stressed the need for continuous learning due to evolving medical knowledge.
He further reminded graduates not to forget the sacrifices of their parents and the guidance of their teachers. As a result, he asked them to build reputations that would honour both.
Appreciating the teaching faculty, he credited them for the students’ success. Additionally, he said the Congress government was prioritising education by improving infrastructure, facilities and welfare schemes.
Finally, he wished the graduates success and called on them to bring recognition to their college across the country.
Kamareddy Government Medical College Principal Valya Rathod, Municipal Chairman Uma Srinivas, Library Chairman Chandrakant Reddy, councillors and Congress leaders attended the programme.
