Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy met Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi and formally sought approval for the IIM Hyderabad proposal, assuring full support from the State Government for land and infrastructure.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted Hyderabad’s leadership in technology, life sciences, aerospace, defence, logistics, and advanced manufacturing. He argued that these strengths made the city a strong candidate for hosting a premier management institute.
The Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that the State had identified 200 acres within the University of Hyderabad campus for the proposed institute. He also said a transit campus was ready, which would allow academic activities to begin immediately once approval was granted.

In addition, the Chief Minister sought approval for nine new Kendriya Vidyalayas and 16 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas to match the increased number of districts in Telangana. He said the expansion would help ensure access to quality education in both urban and rural areas.
The proposed districts for Kendriya Vidyalayas were Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Narayanpet, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Vikarabad, and Nirmal.
For Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, the State proposed schools in Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jogulamba Gadwal, Mahbubabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Medak, Mulugu, Narayanpet, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Nirmal, and Adilabad.
The Chief Minister assured the Union Minister that the State Government was ready to provide land and all required facilities for both the IIM Hyderabad proposal and the new central schools.
