Hyderabad: The State Government intensified efforts to attract investments under the Telangana Rising-2047 vision during a review meeting at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on Tuesday. Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao chaired the meeting with Industries Department officials and project consultants.
He said investors from several states showed growing interest in Telangana. Therefore, he directed officials to prepare focused action plans. He also asked them to maintain regular coordination with potential investors.
The Chief Secretary instructed departments to facilitate Memorandums of Understanding. In addition, he asked officials to provide infrastructure support wherever required. He stressed the need to promote state and Central incentives. Moreover, he said clear communication would strengthen investor confidence.
Officials reported strong interest in food processing, pharmaceuticals, handloom products, textile parks, IT industries, data centres and dry ports. They added that the Telangana Rising-2047 framework encouraged long-term industrial planning. Consequently, companies were exploring expansion opportunities in the State.
Telangana Rising-2047 boosts sector-wise investment plans
During the meeting, officials informed that several major companies expressed interest in Telangana. They mentioned names such as Amazon, Microsoft and Infosys. However, they clarified that proposals were at various stages of discussion.
Officials also noted rising activity in food processing and dairy sectors. They said infrastructure development and policy support contributed to investor confidence. Furthermore, they highlighted employment potential linked to large-scale projects.
Ramakrishna Rao said new investments would generate job opportunities for local youth. Therefore, he urged departments to accelerate approvals and streamline procedures. He emphasised transparent processes and timely coordination with stakeholders.
The review concluded with instructions to strengthen implementation mechanisms. Officials agreed to continue monitoring progress under the Telangana Rising-2047 vision. Industries Department Director Nikhil Chakravarthy and senior officials attended the meeting.
