Hyderabad: The Telangana government is set to host the high-profile Telangana Rising Summit 2047 on December 8 and 9 in Hyderabad. Over 600 national and international dignitaries have confirmed attendance. The event will bring together global CEOs, policy-makers, diplomats, innovators, and leaders from business, sports, cinema, and academia on one platform.
According to official sources, the government has extended invitations to around 4,800 individuals. An expected footfall of more than 2,000 attendees is anticipated. The summit, themed ‘Telangana Rising,’ aims to showcase the state’s future roadmap and attract large-scale investments.
Over two days, delegates will take part in strategy sessions. Discussions will be centered around Telangana’s vision of reaching a $3 trillion economy by 2047. Industry leaders and domain experts will explore themes such as net-zero emissions, semiconductor manufacturing, artificial intelligence, women-led development, skilled workforce, sports infrastructure, and agri-based industries.
Summit to feature investment pacts and cultural showcase
Government officials anticipate signing investment deals worth over ₹1 lakh crore during the summit. Telangana officials have intensified security and logistical arrangements to ensure smooth coordination, given the scale and profile of attendees.
As part of the event’s cultural programming, music director M.M. Keeravani will perform a 90-minute concert on December 8. Additional performances will include veena recitals by P. Jayalakshmi, Perini dance led by Kala Krishna, and a magic act by Samala Venu. Guests will also witness traditional Telangana art forms like Kommu Koya, Banjara dance, Kolatam, Oggudolu, Gussadi, and women’s percussion groups.
Infrastructure work at the summit venue is in full swing, including the construction of internal roads.
From December 10 to 13, the venue will be open to the public with free entry. Citizens can enjoy musical shows and interactive sessions on government projects. Department stalls and cultural events will also be available. Free buses will operate between 9 am–1 pm and 4 pm–9 pm. These will run from major city points like MGBS, JBS, Kukatpally, Charminar, and LB Nagar.
Among key attendees are Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani, Reliance Industries Director Anant Ambani, and Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra. Other notable figures include TVS Group Chairman R. Dinesh, GMR Chairperson G. Mallikarjuna Rao, Biocon Chief Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, SBI MD Challa Srinivasulu Setty, and SAP Labs India MD Sindhu Gangadharan.
International figures include Trump Media CEO Eric Swider, Safran CEO Olivier Andriès, and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, who will join virtually. Additionally, diplomats from South Korea, Malaysia, Fiji, Iraq, Jamaica, Nepal, and other nations will also attend.
Notable names from film and sports include actor Ajay Devgan and directors Priyadarshan and Anirudha Roy Chowdhury. Other illustrious guests are actor Rishab Shetty, Miss World 2025 Suchata Choungsri, badminton star P.V. Sindhu, and Olympic shooter Gagan Narang.
