Hyderabad: TRAI’s July 2025 Independent Drive Test measured real-world telecom performance in Hyderabad–Nizamabad NH and Nizamabad City.
The survey checked over 560 km of routes, six hotspots, and one km of walk tests. Parameters included voice quality, call setup, call drops, download speeds, latency, and video streaming.
TRAI ID Test places Jio at top with 99.6% call setup success rate
Jio achieved 99.62% in call setup, while Airtel followed with 98.29%. Vodafone Idea registered 98.68%, and BSNL scored 97.18%. Call drop rates were lowest for Airtel and Jio at 0%, and highest for BSNL at 5.61%.
Key coverage areas were Armur, Nandipet, Mubarak Nagar, Kamareddy, and Patharajampet. Hotspots such as collector offices, temples, and hospitals were tested.
